Australian Visa Application for Symphony Services Australia Sponsored Artists
Form 147 - Entertainment Visa 420
All artists that are not Australian or New Zealand citizens require visas to enter and work in Australia. Symphony Australia arranges sponsored entertainment visas for its contracted international artists.
Artists are required to complete and sign a form 147 (available from Symphony Australia or the Department of Immigration website).
Please note:
- Separate photos are not required for the application, only the passport ID page.
- Parts A - D must be completed, where applicable, in full.
- Part E regarding Accompanying Family Members. Only immediatefamily may be included on this application ie. the applicant's husband/wife andchildren. Evidence of relationship and other paperwork is required. For example, copy of marriage certificate, copy of children's birth certificates.Symphony Australiastrongly recommends family members travel on tourist visas.
- Part F regarding Health and Character Details must be completed in full.
- Please leave Parts G, H and I blank.
- Part J, please tick 'No'.
- Symphony Australia is the Authorised Recipient for the application (Parts K, L and M) so please leave blank.
- Part N refers to a Migration Agent, not the artist's management agent.
- You do not need to complete Part P of the application, as all Symphony Australia sponsored artists are exempt from payment.
- Please ensure that the artist signs the application in Part Q.

Please note: The passport ID page must bea scanned, clear copy. Fax copies are not sufficient.
Symphony Australia can only sponsor artists for their contracted period with us. Artists wishing to extend their stay must apply for a separate tourist visit while here in Australia. The Department of Immigration assess applications by arrival date. Processing time is between 8-12 weeks and approvals are generally granted two (2) weeks prior to the applicant's arrival in Australia.
