Winner Announced!
On Thursday evening, 22 October, Ji Won Kim was announced the 2009 ABC Symphony Australia Young Performer of the Year. Ji Won played the Sibelius Violin Concerto to rapturous applause from the full house at the Adelaide Festival Theatre.
The audience was also thrilled by the performances of Bo An Lu, playing Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No.1, and David Papp, playing the Martinu Oboe Concerto.
The Adelaide Symphony Orchestra was conducted by James Judd.
