General Information
Each year, Symphony Australia presents awards to outstanding young Australian musicians. In 2008 applicants will be placed in one of three categories - Strings, Keyboards and Other Instruments.
The competition is run in four Stages, with the number of competitors in each Stage getting progressively smaller. At the completion of Stage III one outstanding performer from each category is awarded a Young Performers Award.
These three performers go on to compete for the title of 2008 ABC Symphony Australia Young Performer of the Year in the competition Grand Final (Stage IV).
