Symphony Australia is pleased to be associated with the Australian Singing Competition, one of the country's most prestigious competitions for singers. The Symphony Australia Young Vocalist Award comprises a cash prize and performance opportunity with one of Australia's major symphony orchestras.

The 2007 winner of the Symphony Australia Young Vocalist Award is 25-year-old soprano Mary-Jean O'Doherty of New South Wales.
